Description: The Registered Tree Map shows areas and individual locations (this layer) of trees which are deemed to be Registered under the terms of the Tree Preservation Act 1993. The majority of the designations date from the 1982 Development Plan with amendments in 1987. Between 2003 and 2006 all the Registered areas and individual locations were reviewed and re-mapped at a much larger scale than the original 1:25000. Because of the problems inherent in scale changes, 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances; but it is thought the current maps are suitable for most purposes.
